  • Usage Data: The number of transcription seconds you have used, stored locally to calculate your remaining balance.
  • Transcription History: All your transcriptions, including titles, text, summaries, and metadata, are stored locally on your device.

Information Processed Through Our Services

When you use certain features, data is temporarily processed but not permanently stored by us:

  • Audio Data: When you transcribe media, the audio is extracted and sent to OpenAI's Whisper API through our secure proxy. The audio is not stored on our servers.

Information You Choose to Share

If you use the "Share" feature to create a public link to a transcription, the following information is stored on our servers:

  • Transcription title and text
  • Summary and description (if generated)
  • Source URL and platform (e.g., YouTube, Instagram)
  • Thumbnail image URL

Note: Shared transcriptions are publicly accessible to anyone with the link. Do not share transcriptions containing sensitive or private information.

We process your information to:

  • Provide transcription services: Audio is processed through OpenAI's Whisper API to generate text transcriptions.
  • Manage your credit balance: We track purchased credits through RevenueCat and usage through local device storage.
  • Enable sharing: When you choose to share a transcription, we store it on our servers to generate a public link.

3. What Third-Party Services Do We Use?

We use the following third-party services:

OpenAI (Whisper API)

Audio files are sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. OpenAI processes the audio to generate text and may retain data according to their Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage credit balances. RevenueCat receives your device identifier and purchase information. See their Privacy Policy.

Supabase

We use Supabase for anonymous authentication and storing shared transcriptions. Supabase does not receive any personal information since we use anonymous authentication. See their Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store

In-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Information?

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in these situations:

  • Service Providers: With third-party services listed above that help us provide our services.
  • Public Sharing: When you choose to share a transcription, it becomes publicly accessible via a unique link.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

  • Local data: Stored indefinitely on your device until you delete the app or clear app data.
  • Shared transcriptions: Stored on our servers indefinitely unless you request deletion.
  • Audio files: Not stored. Audio is processed in real-time and discarded after transcription.

6. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Sensitive local data is stored in the iOS Keychain, which is encrypted by the operating system
  • Anonymous authentication means no passwords to protect
  • Our backend uses Row Level Security policies

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Do We Collect Information From Minors?

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 17 years of age. The app is rated 17+ on the App Store. By using the app, you represent that you are at least 17 years old. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete that information.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about what data we have about you.
